Isaac Asimov

The Foundation Trilogy was the book that hooked me on Science Fiction.  I had read other works of Science Fiction before that, namely novels by Jules Verne, but it was Isaac Asimov novels that lead me to the wonderful worlds of imagination.

Besides being a Science Fiction Writer, Isaac Asimov has written books on many divergent topics ranging from the Bible to Physics.  One of my favorite non-Science Fiction books by Isaac Asimov is one of his books on limericks (Lecherous Limericks. Someday, I hope to read his other limericks books.  One of Isaac Asimov’s goals in life was to write 300 books. He wrote and published over 400 books before he died on April 6, 1992.

Piers Anthony

Piers Anthony is one of the most prolific science fiction and fantasy writer that I know (not quite as prolific as Isaac Asimov who wrote over 400 books). He has written many series including the Xanth Series (which is about twenty books long), the Apprentice Adept Series, the Incarnations of Immortality Series (one of my favorites). He as also written many stand alone books of which my favorites are Macroscope and Steppe (a History book in the disguise of Science Fiction book 🙂

Douglas Adams
