Nick O’Donohoe is a writer of both science fiction and fantasy. I was first introduced to the works of Nick O’Donohoe through his Crossroad Trilogy, the story of a venterinary student and her unusal patients and friends. I also enjoyed his recent work, The Gnomewrench in the Dwarfworks (a historical fantasy novel that takes place during World War II) and his older, hard to find novel, Too, Too Solid Flesh (a mystery/science fiction novel).

Larry Niven best know work is probably his Ringworld series. Most of his stories take place in Known Space, including Ringworld, Ringworld Engineers and Ringworld Throne. Larry Niven has written many short stories. One of my favorites is Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex, published in the book All the Myriad Ways, deals with Superman’s reproduction problems with earth women.
Some of Larry Niven’s work has been used used for television. I remember one particular episode of Star Trek Log (the Animated Series) where Mr. Spock played the role of the Pierson’s Puppeteers in an episode called Slaver Weapon. Two other stories of Larry Niven were also used in Star Trek Log (the Animated Series). One of his stories, Inconstant Moon, from the book All the Myriad Ways was turned into an Outer Limits episode.

Anne McCaffrey is probably best know for her Pern Novels and Stories. On Pern, Man and Dragon work together to keep everyone safe from Thread Fall. The first two trilogies, The Dragon Rider Trilogy and The Harper Hall Trilogy take place at the same time and their stories intersect but are told from different viewpoints.
Anne McCaffrey has also written non-Pern novels as well. I enjoyed the Powers That Be trilogy, the Crystal Singer series, the Rowan series along with her other works.

All that I have read of C. Dale Brittain’s work has been her Royal Wizard of Yurt series. There are five books published and the sixth book is in the works. The series starts when Daimbert is hired as the Royal Wizard of Yurt immediately after graduating from the wizard’s school. Daimbert did not graduate top in his class. I suspect that he graduate near, if not at, the bottom. This is a series that I enjoyed very much and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
